WinMiner uses a smart dynamic algo – analyzes each systems and automatically determines, at any moment, which miner to use and which coin to mine. It also serves as a pool in order to maximize the return.
During the benchmark stage WinMiner informs of the target performance similar machines were able to accomplish, it then, over some time, optimizes the performance for your specific machine but trying different possible mining jobs, and then you are getting optimized performance.
Our intention is to become a platform where projects needing massive computing power could seamlessly buy computing power from owners of personal computers around the world.
In the first phase, the work will mainly consist of contributing to the creation and trade of alternative currencies being developed and used in the New Economy. For example we may harness our network collective computing power to effectively mine a new or existing coin and then sell the rewards turning them into hard cash that we can then pass on to you.
At this stage WinMiner is only available in a Windows version with the following minimum requirements:
a. Windows 7 and up
b. CPU: i3 equivalent and up
Profits come from computing power. So when you turn off or use a sleep mode on your machine, your computer can not perform computing work and therefore WinMiner will not work.
WinMiner requires live internet connection as it needs to communicate with the WinMiner servers in order to receive and deliver computing tasks.
As a rule of thumb if the connection is good enough for watching YouTube and has no disconnects then you should be good.
Internet traffic volume used by WinMiner will depend on your type of machine, its operating time, the type of mining and many other factors.
Technically there is no geographical restriction for running WinMiner – please read WinMiner Terms of Service
At this stage WinMiner is only available in Windows and Linux (test) versions, a Mac version is definitely on our roadmap.
There are generally four components to mining profitability –
(1) Cost of hardware
(2) Computing power of hardware
(3) Altcoins prices and difficulties
(4) Cost of electricity
You will need to estimate all the above to get a feel for the kind of return you can expect.

Bottom line, you will need to do a bit of research to find the comfort spot of performance vs. cost.

This depends on the quality of your computer hardware (how strong is your processor and/or your graphic card) and the work jobs available at any given moment.
To date we have on the network personal computers generating $80 per month all the way down to computers generating $10 per month. We will do our best to get you the best results we can.

Step 2 – Download and install WinMiner from wwww.winminer.com, make sure you create an exclude rule for WinMiner folder in your anti virus program, click the Start button
Step 3 – Let your balance grow
Step 4 – Make payout using your preferred method
WinMiner provides setup and portable versions.
A portable install means you may copy the folder, where the program is installed, to a storage device (like a USB flash drive or HDD), and then you can run the program on another computer without having to run an installer.
You can have all your machines on a single account (we have users with hundreds of machines on a single account) – make sure each machine has a different name to avoid conflict in the live dashboard reporting.

You may receive the “Out of memory” error message when Windows virtual memory on the machine is not optimal for GPU(s).
You need raise the virtual memory (recommended 8GB per GPU – e.g. for 5GPUs 5*8 =40 GB) and here is how to do it:
WinMiner Bitcoin and Litecoin pools are available for direct access on ASIC machines (any ASIC doing Scrypt or Sha256 will work).

Mobile devices are, at least in the current form of proof of work models, not very effective for mining.
We have the test mobile apps (for iOS and Android) which give an easy remote access and management to your mining computers.
If you want to test WinMiner mobile app please send us your Apple Store and/or Google Play Store user name to and we will open this up for you.
You may reset your WinMiner password by going to web.winminer.com and clicking the “Reset password” link.
Then click the confirmation link in the verification email within 24 hours (check your spam folder, just in case) and set a new password. Password must contain the following characters: lowercase, uppercase, numeric, special (!,@,#,etc.)
WinMiner is the software we developed to run on our server farm and we run it there as well as on our personal computers.
Mining digital coins is an intensive computing power work and as such some AVs may flag some of the common miner softwares that WinMiner uses.
